(A) Gross photographs of the liver. (B) ALT and AST. (C) HE staining. Mice were intraperitoneally administered DT (2.5 ng/g) on Day 0. On Day 3, serum was collected to measure hepatic function indices, including alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). Concurrently, gross photographs of the liver were taken to assess hepatic injury (n=1-2 females, 10 weeks old). Note: steatosis (↑), single-cell apoptosis (↑), sinusoidal congestion (↑), inflammatory cell infiltration (↑). Scale bar. 100 μm.
